Written installation steps

Install while on stable Wi-Fi. A travel eSIM works for data abroad through its own plan; it does not use your home SIM roaming. Plan coverage and validity vary, so check your plan details.

iPhone

  1. Connect to stable Wi-Fi and open the order email, or open your order from Find My Order.
  2. If your iPhone runs iOS 17.4 or later and your plan offers a direct-install link, tap it and follow the prompts.
  3. Otherwise go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Service) > Add eSIM > Use QR Code, and scan the QR from another screen.
  4. If you cannot scan the QR, choose Enter Details Manually and use the installation details supplied with your order. Contact support if you need help identifying the fields.
  5. Label the new line (for example, Travel) and select it for Cellular Data. Turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching and Data Roaming on your home SIM to help prevent home-SIM data charges.
  6. Turn on Data Roaming for the OzESim travel line when you reach your destination.

Android

  1. Connect to stable Wi-Fi. Menu names vary by brand and Android version.
  2. Open Settings > Network & internet (or Connections) > SIMs > Add eSIM, then choose to scan a QR code. Some phones offer a direct-install link instead.
  3. Scan the QR code from another screen, such as a laptop, tablet or second phone.
  4. Name the new line, select it for mobile data, and turn on Data Roaming for the travel eSIM only. Disable automatic data switching and home-SIM Data Roaming where your phone offers these settings.
  5. If scanning is not possible, choose the manual option and enter the details shown on your order page.

Before you install

  • A device that supports eSIM. Compatible models vary, so confirm yours with the manufacturer before buying.
  • A device that is carrier-unlocked. Ask your home provider if you are unsure.
  • Stable Wi-Fi while installing. The eSIM profile downloads over the internet.
  • The QR code and activation details from your order. Keep them private and do not share them with anyone.

Direct-install links need iOS 17.4 or later on iPhone, and support on Android varies by phone. If a link does not work, scan the QR code from another screen or use manual installation.

Troubleshooting

  • Check that the line is switched on and set for mobile data, with Data Roaming on for the travel eSIM line only.
  • Confirm you are in a destination covered by your plan and still have data and validity remaining. Check your plan details for its activation rules.
  • Restart the phone and toggle Airplane Mode on and off.
  • Manually choose a network in your mobile settings if automatic selection fails.
  • Check the installation is complete and was not interrupted by poor Wi-Fi.
  • Still stuck? Email us with the details listed on the support page. Please do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting.

S
Samsung Galaxy
